Interview with founder Jenny R Craig, LCSW, BCD on how the Grateful Ring got started and the difference it is making.  I created it to remind me to stay in the present and be grateful for each beautiful moment and each challenge that helped me grow and since then… it has stopped a 16 year from committing suicide, helped people with cancer, connected elementary school friends, boosted kids self-esteem, been on the hand Zoe Myers in the movie Perdition, on the hand of top movie producer Gary Goldstein (Pretty Woman, Under Siege, etc.) in his powerful video at www.garywgoldstein.com, raised money for charity and so much more!!

Grateful Ring curriculum teaches people how to harness the power of wisdom, caring, community and collaboration to create the highest good for all.

Follow our blog as schools and companies learn:
Personal Responsibility 
– Each student will receive their own Grateful Ring and learn curriculum on how to wire their brain to boost positivity. They will learn how to think, write and speak about gratitude to uncover the power positivity brings to their own life. 

Empathetic Citizenship – After 30 days, the children will choose someone in the community to share new knowledge, pass on their gratitude ring and become accountable to creating a grateful community to uncover the power they have to help others.

Global Leadership – After 30 days of helping someone in the community, the children will choose another school in the world to train the positive thinking they have learned and recognize that they have the power to make changes across the world.

STEP ONE

Create a positive trigger with your grateful ring:

How to create a positive trigger

Take the first ten minutes is in the morning… whatever you are thinking and feeling when you wake up is what your brain will look for the rest of the day to make you right.  If you wake up cranky, you will look for reasons to be cranky.  If you wake up happy, your brain will look for reasons that are you happy.  The deal is that we can control our thoughts and have the power to change what we seek all day.  To wire the brain, simply take ten minutes to be in gratitude, while spinning the ring and then go on to have a rock star day.

Take ten minutes before bed to sit in gratitude and spin your ring.  Whatever you are thinking/feeling before bed, you will spend the next four hours working out in your dream.  Knowing that gratitude is one of the most healing chemicals for our bodies, take ten minutes before bed being in gratitude while spinning the ring.

As the 30 days progresses, your brain/body will begin releasing grateful neurotransmitters every time you touch the ring.  As feelings are faster than your thoughts, touching the ring helps people become present to the moment and discover what is beautiful in that very moment.  

Once someone has taken at least 30 days to literally wire in more gratitude, I ask that when inspired, they pass the ring and instructions on to someone else.
